1. Purpose
Bitrex Digital LLC (a Colorado limited liability company, with registered office at 1500 N Grant St, Ste N, Denver, CO 80203, United States of America, LLC Certificate No. 20261668852, Colorado Secretary of State; "BitRex", "we", "us", "our") is committed to preventing the use of its Platform for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud or any other financial crime. This Anti-Money-Laundering ("AML") and Know-Your-Customer ("KYC") Policy sets out the framework we apply to identify our Users, monitor their transactions, and report suspicious activity to the competent authorities, including the U.S. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) where applicable.
2. Customer Due Diligence
Standard Customer Due Diligence is performed at onboarding and consists of identity verification using a government-issued document, address verification using a recent utility bill or bank statement, and a sanctions and politically-exposed-persons ("PEP") screening against globally recognised lists. Enhanced Due Diligence applies to Users from higher-risk jurisdictions, PEPs, or Users whose transaction patterns trigger our risk-scoring rules.
3. Transaction Monitoring
All deposits, withdrawals, internal transfers and mining-related ledger movements are monitored in real time by our risk engine. Triggers include velocity thresholds, deposit-to-withdrawal ratios, and blockchain-analytics flags relating to mixers, darknet markets or sanctioned addresses. Triggered transactions are reviewed by our Compliance team and may be paused pending additional documentation.
4. Reporting
Where we have reasonable grounds to suspect that funds processed through the Platform are the proceeds of crime or relate to terrorist financing, we are obliged to file a Suspicious Activity Report ("SAR") with the competent financial-intelligence unit. We may, in such circumstances, be prohibited by law from informing the User concerned.
5. Record-Keeping
Identification documents, transaction histories and Compliance investigation files are retained for a minimum of five (5) years from the end of the business relationship, in accordance with FATF Recommendation 11.
6. User Cooperation
You agree to provide, upon request and without undue delay, any additional documentation or information required for us to discharge our regulatory obligations. Failure to do so may result in withdrawal requests being paused or the account being suspended.
7. Sanctions
We do not provide Services to, and you may not use the Platform if you are, a resident or citizen of any jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions administered by the United Nations Security Council, the European Union, the United Kingdom Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation, or the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC").
